- OUTSTANDING QUALITY AND FLAVOUR
Meteor* is a tropical butternut variety which differs in colour from Barbara. It has a semi-bush type growing habit with vigorous plants. Due to the vigorous plants, it is not easily susceptible to diseases. It has a very good fruit setting ability, thus giving excellent yields. When used as a baby, the first fruits are harvestable 45 days after transplant. The rind colour of the fruits are yellow with a green blossom end with light stripes running across the length of the fruit, making for a very attractive and unique looking fruit. Meteor* may also be used as mature fruit which are harvestable about 90 days after transplant. The colour pattern remains the same at maturity.
