Usage Instructions
DIRECTIONS FOR USE: Use only as directed
No Weed Lawn SL is a selective broadleaf herbicide which may be used on common Cynodon turf varieties, eg Florida, Hall’s Selection, Skaapplaas, Cape Royal, etc, Kikuyu grass and Swazigrass. Do not use on Daisy lawn. Under certain conditions No Weed Lawn SL can cause slight discolouration of finely cut grass, especially when using the higher rate. The yellowing is normally temporary.
No Weed Lawn SL is usually applied after weed emergence when plants are in the active stage of growth. As most weeds are more susceptible when young, always spray at the earliest possible time. No Weed Lawn SL will perform better under ideal growing conditions. The application of a nitrogenous fertilizer three weeks prior to treatment may serve to futher enhance the control of target weeds. Adverse growing conditions such as cold weather or excessive heat, drought or excessive rain, may also result in reduced efficacy. Take note that the recommendations given are for average use and not for abnormal conditions. Add a wetting agent to improve spray coverage on hard-to-wet foliage.
Rain or watering within 2 hours of application may diminish the effect. Calibration of the spray apparatus should first be carefully carried out to avoid any error in application. It is recommended that at least 5 l of water be used per 100 m² to distribute the herbicide evenly.
APPLICATION
Apply by means of a knapsack sprayer or pressurized sprayers. Application by means of a watering can or equipment attached to garden hoses is not recommended. Dilute the recommended amount of No Weed Lawn SL with water and apply as a even spray after emergence of broadleaf weeds.
RATES OF APPLICATION
On sporting turf, golf course fairways. tees and lawns
Use 50 ml/5 l water/100 m2. Use the higher rate of 70 ml/5 l water/100 m² for Alternanthera pungens, Brayulinea densa and Oxalis corniculata. Repeat the application when necessary. A follow-up application may be
required.
On putting and bowling greens
Use 100 ml/500 m2 / 5 L water.
Do not exceed this dosage. Repeat as necessary but not more than once in six weeks.
Pre-emergence weed control in newly planted turf
No Weed Lawn SL may also be used for pre-emergence control of weeds, in newly planted turf. It should be applied at 70 ml/5 l water/100 m² immediately after planting of stolons and before weed emergence. This treatment will provide control of annual grasses in addition to the weeds listed below, for a period of 3 – 6 weeks depending on rainfall and/or irrigation.
